Having spent most of weekend at Jennys scanning in loads of prints for family history using her humble Mustek scanner. I thought the process at home would be much faster using the brand new Epson 2400 Photo I have just bought. What a pile of shite! the software has obviously been designed by microsoft full of graphics meaningless crap it runs so slow does not auto select negative positive so tedious still to learn how to name a file Its incredible.
All it wants is PRESS Button A , do ultrafast quick scan, show outline click ok , do real scan on selected area, give a file name . press save now. how difficult is that Mr Epson (Oh yes AUTOMATICALLY detect a negative and adjust top bottom lamp. I'm sure that could be done in less than 1,333 files weighing in at 140MB!!!
