Just back from Aldi. Oh no theyve gone computerised at the tills, goodness how it slows things down to the old hand method! also bringing in more 'choice' or do you wanted bottled water x at 79p or a differently packaged one at 150p errr thats a difficult one! Maybe I should become an agent for them sounds a nice commission structure to find new sites
Only advantage is you get an itemised bill, be interesting to take bill to new Tesco to see difference in prices.
Well I did check prices. Everything, except for cheese, was more expensive or same as Aldi , But and its a massive but, if you pick up 'wrong' item in Tesco it can cost like three times as much as Aldi and invariably double. So shopping is SIMPLER and CHEAPER in Aldi you can pick up any of Aldis basic stuff and you know its good and cheap whereas in Tesco, why should they sell a product competitive to one of their own ranges! and by golly how they segment the market just to confuse you and increase profits under the guise of choice. So no I won't be shopping at Tesco!
