Today was first weekend of Cambridge Open Studios Tony and I visited Mandy Davies-Kent who had a magnificient work, unfortunately to big for house. But just maybe....... Also visited Helen Taylor who had an incredible life size wire sculptiure of Elvis. Also visited Rachel Pierce's water colours which I found quite disturbing for some reason (the subject matter was innocous). Marina Yedigaroff's house was a complete riot of colour, absolutly everything painted with patterns, initallly felt like a Hindu temple!. 7:21:27 PM    comment []

Managed to swim 32 X 25m lengths of breast stroke with Tony in 21 minutes, our personal best, at The Frank Lee Centre .World records at swimnews suggest we have some way to go (records seems too be 2m 10s for 200m ie under 9mins for our distance)! Something to aim for 7:10:56 PM    comment []

We also visited the KIAD end of year art exhibition. at The Truman Brewey excellent work really innovative stuff I liked the self portrait done as a series of colour swatches. Em liked the work one student did for NSPCC. Another one was the Economy baked bean tin done with the plight of refugees. What ever happens to all these designers?
