Saturday was Twickenham day with England v Austraila, we won just! Thanks Andrew for tickets . Very pleasurable day. Drank 5 pints Guinness and had very merry time with Des Graham and Matthew.
What is so fascinating to me is that you can get so many men (ok a very few women) loads of drink mix up rival supporters and still have an incredible good and jolly time with NO fear of violence at all. Its truly amazing that drink does not inevitably lead to yobbish behaviour.
Matthew had a ref link radio so you can hear the refs comments etc . He thinks and I agree that the 10 yard rule helps a lot. ie if a player argues etc then the ref can disadvantage the players side by moving ball 10 yards further back. Very neat simple rule. The player is effectivly displined by his own team its not such a big deal as red cards etc. Another example of how civilised Rugby is.
