Thank for all the tips listed here. I agree about the firefox browser, but I keep internet explorer just incase some sites dont like firefox. Have to say my popups have now stopped with the latest firefox updat.

Thanks, Geoff, for passing along the detailed information about uninstalling a program. The directions make it easy, even for a novice, to understand. Don't you think that the fact that MS Windows doesn't remove all these entries say something about its development? Pretty shoddy, if you ask me.

Thanks for posting the links and the advice on ways to remove this rubish. I would agree on CCleaner as I have used it a few times in the past with good success apart from loosing a few files I had stored in a folder called “Temp”, my own fault I know.

i would also reccomend avast antivirus, maleware bytes antivirus, and running CCcleaner. I do this everytime I start up my computer and before I shut it down and have no problems what so ever. Oh yeah, I also use Auslogics Disk Defragger.
